BABY SEALIFE APPLIQUE DESIGNS

This week has just started and I already have a lot on my plate this week.

My daughter (aged 17) will be starting to write trials (Grade 12) this Thursday - I think I am more nervous about it than she is (lol) !!

As promised I have now completed my baby sealife applique designs - now available for the 4x4 and 5x7 hoops and they do look sew cute.

What is so fabulous about applique is that you can use up all those little scraps of fabric that you have put one side.  I always keep my pieces in a plastic container (quite large).   Whenever I am looking for a certain colour, the first place I look is in my stack of leftovers.  If I cannot find it there, I look in my new stash of fabrics - dont know about you, but I am always buying fabrics - one thing I can say though, is that I do tend to use mine and of course I have my favourite colours.

These designs have been loaded into my Etsy shop, if you want to buy singles.  I will be loading them onto www.sewnsew.co.za to sell as a set - this should be by the end of this week.

So happy stitching everyone - busy, busy week ahead for me.

New Bag

Well, I decided that I needed to use my Dragonfly Applique designs for something special, so this is what I cam up with

Just a simple tote bag, squared off at the bottom, but it did come out looking beautiful - I think the fabric compliments the design.

I am also busy working on some other applique designs - some cute baby sealife animals - they are looking ever sew cute.  Will post pics soon.

Have a wonderful Sunday and week ahead.

ETSY STORE NOW OPENED

http://www.etsy.com/shop/karencreed?ref=si_shop
Hi everyone,

I have opened a store at Etsy and would like to invite you to please visit and support me if possible.

I have listed quite a few new embroidery designs there.

Here are a few pics of the stitchouts :-

The above designs are available in two sizes :  4x4 and 5x7 and are applique designs.

I also have the following designs available :-

These are available for the 5x7 hoop and are also applique.

I had sew much fun doing these applique designs.  I could play with all my fabrics.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WHEN DOING MY APPLIQUE DESIGNS :-

1)  When doing my applique designs, you will note that there are two outlines in the same place.
2)  The first outline is to show you where you need to place your fabric - remember your fabric needs to always be bigger than the outline area.
3)  You then stitch the fabric down with the second outline.
4)  You remove the hoop from your machine (DO NOT UNHOOP) and cut away the excess fabric.
5)  You then replace your hoop and carry on with the design.

I hope the above helps for when doing my Embroidery Applique Designs.

Hope to hear from some of you soon.

Enjoy the rest of the week.
